SAS provides high-quality sheltering services for the homeless pets of Lemhi County.

Join a community of animal lovers who believe every pet deserves safety, dignity, and love. As a Friend of the Shelter, your support helps us care for animals in need whether it’s an abandoned kitten, a lost dog, or an aging pet whose owner can no longer care for them. Your support means they’ll be met with open arms and a soft place to land.
When you become a Friend of the Shelter, you’ll receive a sticker, insider updates, and invitations to Friends-only events celebrating the animals and people who make this work possible.
Lemhi County Humane Society is a non-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax-deductible.
Humane Society Hours:
Wednesday – Monday 11 am – 5 pm
Closed Tuesdays
Rags & Wags Thrift Store Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 6 pm

Charlie is still here, still hopeful, still looking for the place he can finally call home. He’s a loving, playful boy with so much heart to give, but shelter life has been hard on him. What he really needs is a couch to curl up on, a yard to stretch his legs in, and a person who’s his forever.
