We’re excited to have another fee-waived adoption event THIS WEEKEND! Join us at the shelter Saturday, Sept 12 AND Sunday, Sept 13 from 11 am–6 pm for another 🐾 Fee-Waived Adoption Weekend: The Rescue Effect! 🐾 with support from the ASPCA!

Adoption fees for ALL of our wonderful adoptable animals will be covered both days. Come meet your new best friend! We recommend filling out an adoption application ahead of time—and if you already have your heart set on someone special, don’t wait! Today we’re extending a huge THANK YOU to Salmon River Propane and a very generous anonymous donor who helped us get a brand-new commercial washer and dryer set! 🎉

For a long time, we’ve made do with donated and lower-capacity washers and dryers, and we’ve always been grateful for what we had. But when our washing machine finally kicked the bucket last week, we decided it was time to invest in the right tools for the job.

Thanks to a generous discount from Salmon River Propane, an anonymous donor who covered the remaining cost, and our volunteer installation tech (thank you, Derek!), we now have exactly what we need to keep up with the high-capacity—and, frankly, REALLY dirty—laundry we tackle every single day.

As you can see, Shelter Manager Paige and our senior cat Moo Moo are pretty excited about the new additions. 😻
