Today we’re extending a huge THANK YOU to Salmon River Propane and a very generous anonymous donor who helped us get a brand-new commercial washer and dryer set! 🎉

For a long time, we’ve made do with donated and lower-capacity washers and dryers, and we’ve always been grateful for what we had. But when our washing machine finally kicked the bucket last week, we decided it was time to invest in the right tools for the job.

Thanks to a generous discount from Salmon River Propane, an anonymous donor who covered the remaining cost, and our volunteer installation tech (thank you, Derek!), we now have exactly what we need to keep up with the high-capacity—and, frankly, REALLY dirty—laundry we tackle every single day.

As you can see, Shelter Manager Paige and our senior cat Moo Moo are pretty excited about the new additions. 😻

She is beauty. She is grace. She is OPHEILA.

Introducing Opheila, our beautiful estimated 3-year-old Cane Corso with the most gorgeous brindle coat and a heart to match.

Opheila arrived as a stray and was a little too skinny when she came to us, but with some good food, TLC, and plenty of love, this girl has absolutely blossomed!

She’s sweet, friendly, and seems to enjoy everyone she meets — including her fellow dogs. We’re still getting to know her, but we already know one thing for sure…

🐾 HOW has Nezzer not been adopted yet?! 🐾

Seriously… we don’t understand it. Nezzer is one of those dogs who makes you wonder how someone hasn’t already scooped him up and taken him home. ❤️

At just over 7 years old, Nezzer is a Border Collie/Cow Dog mix and truly one of the sweetest, most loyal pups you could ask for. He’s friendly, well-trained, fully housebroken, and has the perfect mix of grown-up manners and “LET’S GO DO SOMETHING!” energy.

🎾 And if that something involves a ball? Even better. Nezzer is absolutely ball obsessed and would probably play fetch until your arm fell off… and then politely ask you to use the other one. 😂

He LOVES his people and is the kind of dog who wants to be right there beside you, whether you’re heading out for a hike, working around the property, tossing his favorite ball, or just spending the day together. He’s smart, driven, eager to have a job, and incredibly devoted to the people he trusts.

Nezzer can do well with other dogs and cats, especially calmer, easygoing companions, with slow and thoughtful introductions.

We genuinely don’t know why this boy is still waiting. He has so much love and loyalty to give, and he deserves to finally have someone who looks at him and says, “You’re coming home with me.” 🥹❤️

We’ve had so many feline friends become available for adoption this past week that we can barely keep up! Getting photos is tough when everyone would rather make biscuits, crawl into your arms, and soak up the love.
