Join a community of animal lovers who believe every pet deserves safety, dignity, and love. As a Friend of the Shelter, your support helps us care for animals in need whether it’s an abandoned kitten, a lost dog, or an aging pet whose owner can no longer care for them. Your support means they’ll be met with open arms and a soft place to land.
When you become a Friend of the Shelter, you’ll receive a sticker, insider updates, and invitations to Friends-only events celebrating the animals and people who make this work possible.
Lemhi County Humane Society is a non-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax-deductible.
Humane Society Hours:
Wednesday – Monday 11 am – 5 pm
Closed Tuesdays
Rags & Wags Thrift Store Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 6 pm
🧡 Meet Our Orange Resident, Mr. Morris! 🧡
Mr. Morris may look a little funny right now, but trust us—this handsome guy is all heart. He was recently shaved due to severe matting and a large infected wound on his side. After being shaved, stapled, and given a whole lot of TLC, Mr. Morris is healing beautifully and ready to be all he can be.
At just 5 years old, Mr. Morris has so much love to give. He adores being held, coddled, and showered with kisses. He’s also quite the chatty fellow, so if you enjoy having conversations with your cat, he’s your guy! When he’s not soaking up affection or taking a well-deserved nap, he enjoys roaming his space and keeping an eye on things.

Sweet Saga has now spent 55 days at the shelter, patiently waiting for the moment she finally meets her forever family. Our hearts are so full it hardly feels real. ❤️
Because of you, our shelter animals had a day filled with crinkly wrapping paper, wagging tails, curious noses, and the pure joy of opening gifts picked just for them. Watching them discover new toys, cozy beds, and special treats was nothing short of magical.
We are deeply, genuinely overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. Every donation, every present, every act of kindness reminds us that our animals are so loved and never alone.
