Thank you Salmon! Adopt-A-Thon was a rousing success despite the weather! 20+ kittens and cats found their forever homes on Saturday October 24th at our first Adopt-A-Thon! Salmon Animal Shelter participated in the October Cat Adoption Event with other shelter partners across the State as a proud member of the Idaho Shelter Coalition. Our hearts are full of gratitude for our wonderful community and your support of Lemhi County Humane Society. We almost emptied out the shelter!
Big thank you to our volunteers who made this event possible! They ran the grill, greeted the guests/adopters, and kept the fire going throughout the blustery afternoon. And big thank you to our staff who daily care for all the animals at the shelter, and were kept hopping with all the adoptions on Saturday!
ADOPT-A-THON – Fall Adoption Celebration at Salmon Animal Shelter!
Yes – Adopt-A-Thon is still ON! Noon to 4pm – Saturday October 24th. Brrr, we know the predicted weather is chilly! Fire pit! Food! Fun! We will adapt to the weather as necessary. And you can come pick out your new best friend to snuggle and keep you warm this weekend, this winter, and for their lifetime!

- Reduced cost cat adoptions / 20 Cats available for no-cost adoption thanks to a Rachel Ray No-Kill Excellence Grant
- Food Available – Grilled Hot-dogs, Hamburgers and Veggie burgers
- Hot and Cold drinks available
- Out – Door Prizes
- The Cat Whisperer will be “IN” – Cat Behavior and Ownership Advice/Consultation onsite our very own expert will be available. Ask us your cat ownership related questions and LET’S CHAT ABOUT IT.
